I knew while I was in Peru, that I was going to get a cat when I got home. A cat, to have as company in my #mythiccocoon. A cat to grow with. A cat to start my #mythicfamily. A cat to help ground me. A cat to love. I didn't want a full grown cat, I wanted a kitten and I was willing to wait until spring to get one! All winter I turned down cat offers. I wanted a kitten. Spring rolls around, the SPCA emails me, sharing a photo of "Big Cat" and off I went to meet her! How could I not... Below, you will see Lilly. Lily was my OG friend! I grew up outside of a small town in the prairies of Manitoba, on a dairy farm. To me, it was a cat farm! I named and love all the cats, but Lily and I had the deepest connection. Although born from a black / white Domestic Short-Hair, who we assume had a rendezvous with one of the toms, Lily appeared to be part Siamese. Lily lived 19 human years of farm filled adventures, naps and kisses from me. 💜 Below, you will meet Minnie. Minnie came to me for palliative care. I wanted a cat friend and Minnie’s human was away often. I felt a connection to Minnie as she resembled my childhood friend, Lily. Minnie lived her last months with me and my partner at the time, where she was loved and got to enjoy being carried down to the ocean in my arms. 💜 Below, you will meet The Queen! After seeing her resemblance to my childhood cat Lily and recently loved friend Minnie, I let my intention of having a kitten go and went to meet this part siamese love. The Queen and have bonded immediately as if she was born with me, 5 years ago. She's calm, the ultimate snuggle friend, she's quiet when my focus is on work and is surprisingly playful with her cat toys! She even gives me back massages in the morning. Once she is here for another week and knows this is her home, she will be an indoor/outdoor cat. She's itching to get outside, walks on the leash for now. I am so happy I made the CHOICE to adopt her. 💜 Welcome to My Mythic Life, The Queen.
I guess around the house, that makes me, Princess?
